News 08/05/2026Ludwigsburg City Citizens’ Medal for Detlef Weimann

Our Managing Director, Detlef Weimann, has been awarded the Citizens’ Medal of the City of Ludwigsburg – the city’s highest honour. The award was presented during the city’s anniversary celebrations in the Hall of Orders at Ludwigsburg Palace.

With the Citizens’ Medal, the city honours individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to Ludwigsburg and social cohesion. In his laudatory speech, Lord Mayor Dr Matthias Knecht particularly highlighted Detlef Weimann’s long-standing social, cultural and community involvement. This includes, amongst other things, support for social institutions, cultural events and various initiatives in Ludwigsburg.

Anyone who knows Mr Weimann knows that he is reluctant to put himself in the spotlight. We are therefore all the more delighted by this special recognition for a man who takes responsibility, listens and has been committed to the region for many years with great personal dedication.

Since 2002, Detlef Weimann has been Managing Director and Partner of Goetze KG Armaturen, based in Ludwigsburg. Under his leadership, GOETZE has successfully expanded internationally whilst maintaining close ties to its Ludwigsburg base.

We warmly congratulate Mr Weimann on this more than deserved award and are delighted by this special recognition of his commitment to the local community.
