News 22/10/2025New: DVGW-certified safety valves from Goetze for safe drinking water

A range of safety valves from our existing product portfolio now have official DVGW certification and are therefore approved for use in drinking water systems.

Certified safety for drinking water installations – made in Germany.

This makes Goetze the first manufacturer whose safety valves meet the strict DVGW requirements – and thus a pioneer in drinking water hygiene and product safety.

The certification confirms that our valves comply with all the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance and the assessment criteria of the Federal Environment Agency (UBA).

DVGW certification not only offers planners and installers legal certainty, but also the assurance that they are relying on tested, future-proof products.

In this way, we contribute an important contribution to the protection of the most important foodstuff of all: drinking water.

🌍 Looking to the future: lead-free and harmonised across Europe

From 2028, certain lead-containing materials will no longer be permitted for use in drinking water applications in Germany.

Goetze is prepared for this change – with modern materials and early DVGW certification of our products.

At the same time, the EU is working on standardising drinking water certifications in Europe – a step that we are actively supporting.
