News 13/10/2026New safety shut-off valve for cryogenic storage tanks
With our new safety shut-off valve (SSV), we are expanding our range of cryogenic storage tanks to include a practical solution for filling cryogenic storage vessels. In doing so, we have placed particular emphasis on ensuring that the valve position is clearly visible, that the valve is fitted with a closed cover, and that flexible designs are available to meet a variety of requirements.
Thought through for real-world application.
With its new safety shut-off valve for cryogenic storage tanks, Goetze is expanding its product range for cryogenic storage tanks.
The valve is fitted directly in front of the filling nozzle and serves to secure the tank during the filling process. During development, the focus was not only on technical functionality but, above all, on details that facilitate design, installation and use.
Valve position can be identified at a glance
It is possible to see from the outside whether the safety shut-off valve is open or closed. This allows the operator to quickly check the valve position without having to open the cover.
Closed cover
The fully enclosed cover makes it difficult for insects to enter and nest, thereby preventing the resulting soiling. This is a practical advantage, particularly for outdoor applications.
Variants for different applications
Various models are available to meet different requirements. These include a stainless steel version, designed specifically for CO₂ tanks, and a Y-adapter for connecting two pressure switches.
A one-stop shop for cryogenic storage tanks
The new safety shut-off valve (SSV) complements the existing Goetze cryogenic product range.
Safeguard. Shut off. Regulate. Switch.
From safety valves and fittings through to pressure regulation solutions and diverter ball valves, Goetze offers valves and fittings for a wide range of applications relating to cryogenic storage tanks.
