Notícias 17/03/2025Innovations and networks: Alexander Berg on a delegation trip to the Netherlands
Insights into logistics, storage and infrastructure – Goetze keeps its finger on the pulse of the hydrogen economy

From 9 to 12 March 2025, Alexander Berg, Head of Sales Europe at Goetze KG Armaturen, took part in a highly interesting delegation trip on the subject of hydrogen. Organised by the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK), the trip took the delegation to meet key players in the hydrogen industry in the Netherlands and offered valuable insights into current developments and future perspectives.
Company visits and key topics
The 17-member delegation started in North Holland at Gasunie, a leading energy infrastructure company. The focus was on the logistics and storage of hydrogen, ammonia and methanol. Other stops included Northwater (industrial water solutions), Resato (high-pressure technologies for hydrogen) and the port of Den Helder, where the central role of the port in maritime hydrogen logistics and the use of ammonia as a potential hydrogen carrier were discussed. Total Energies also provided exciting insights into its hydrogen projects before the trip continued to Rotterdam Energies and the Port of Rotterdam – one of the most important hubs for energy supply in Europe.
Focus on energy security and infrastructure
A central topic was the energy sector in the Netherlands, where renewable energies and new infrastructures are gaining in importance alongside hydrogen. The planned construction of two new nuclear power plants and several electrolysis plants should contribute to the long-term stability of the energy supply. The storage of CO₂ in North Sea gas caverns (carbon capture and storage, CCS) was also discussed as a promising technology for reducing emissions and making sustainable use of existing infrastructure.
Intensive exchange and new opportunities for cooperation
The trip offered numerous networking opportunities, especially during meetings with Dutch industrial and municipal representatives in Groningen and The Hague.
For Alexander Berg, the delegation trip was an extremely valuable experience: ‘The insights and impulses gained will certainly help to further develop Goetze's hydrogen strategy and strengthen sustainable partnerships. The intensive exchange with leading experts has once again shown how essential cross-border cooperation is for the future of energy supply.’
Alexander Berg returned from the trip with new insights and valuable contacts – ready to incorporate these impulses into the strategic development of Goetze KG Armaturen.
