The 2141 shut-off valve from GOETZE is a compact stainless steel shut-off valve in a straight-through design, which has been specially developed for use in safety-critical applications with extreme temperature conditions. It combines maximum fire resistance in accordance with ISO 10497:2024 and API 607 (8th edition) with full suitability for cryogenic media down to –196°C.
Thanks to its robust stainless steel construction, modular design and an innovative metallic secondary seal that is activated in the event of a fire, the valve is ideal for applications with flammable, fire-accelerating or cryogenic media – e.g. methane, ethane, propane, butane, ethylene or acetylene.
Certification in accordance with the latest fire safety standards ensures that the shut-off valve remains tight and functional even after 30 minutes of exposure to flames at 1000°C. API 607 (8th edition) imposes stricter requirements on leakage behaviour, temperature measurement and functional testing – a real safety gain for operators in process and energy engineering.
The 2141 shut-off valve is manufactured oil- and greasefree, made entirely of non-combustible materials and optionally available with a check function. It is suitable for applications including:
- Cryogenic applications for cryogenic (liquefied) gases
- Industry and energy sector
- Plant in hazardous areas – with flammable or fire-accelerating media
- Biogas plants, power-to-gas
- Gas filling stations
With the 2141 shut-off valve, GOETZE offers a future-proof solution that combines uncompromising safety with proven quality ‘Made in Germany’.
